You may ask yourself on why is it important on protecting endangered species like the American badger? Well in this blog post I will be reviewing the American badger.

These night time loving carnivores are small and chunky with distinctive black and white markings on their face (American Badger, 2015). With unbelievable strength, this short and stocky creature can really prove that it is one of the toughest endangered species in Canada.

As a relative of the weasel family, American badger has a bad reputation for being pretty fierce but in real life the creature would rather stay away from any trouble or dig themselves a hole in the ground and not fight (American Badger, 2015). Their sharp claws and monstrous strength aren't just for show but also make them excellent diggers, which help them burrow for prey like groundhogs, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits and mice (American Badger, 2015).

The American badger doesn't only live in the United States but they are also located in Canada. The American badger prefers open grassland habitat where they can spend their evenings digging away to find prey and burrowing themselves a mellow looking home (American Badger, 2015).
